I had a 'neutral' interview and am trying to think of what to write in a thank you. I call it 'neutral' because I did not know the identity of the person interviewing me, other than that they were a physician, but I did not ask them what field they specialize in (only found out later through a Google search). We did not talk about shared interests really.

However, I do want to write a meaningful thank you note.
What would be a good way to go about doing this?
And generally, should interviewers be asked about their work?
