Besides getting you used to the length of the exam bla bla bla, is it useful in terms of testing your knowledge and also building your knowledge (with reviewing afterward)?

I didn't review the tests afterwards (I don't remember if I was able to review the individual questions as I took it almost 2 years ago). I used them to primarily see where I stood in terms of studying. The second NBME exam motivated me to study harder. I took the first uworld about 2 weeks out, and its result motivated me to move my test date a week earlier. Took uworld #2 two days out--its score was the exact same as #1 which gave me confidence for test day (and solidified my decision to 1.) move the test earlier and 2.) take the day before the exam off).
