Hi all,

I'll be in the upcoming class at Goucher and am wondering if any alums can comment on the usefulness of the optional math review that starts on June 2. The reason I ask is that I will be in the midst of a cross country move/training someone to take over my current position and may or may not be able to make it there in time for the start of the session. Is this something that should not be missed, or would it be ok to forego some/all of it?

Thanks.

We called it "Math Camp," and it was sort of useless as an actual review of high-school math, but was pretty great as a way to meet classmates in a low-pressure setting, get to know everyone, and get acclimated to being a student again after some time away from school. My year, we went out a lot (to bars in Towson and to Baltimore), had some house parties, and just generally had a good time during the two weeks of Math Camp.

So... I'd recommend being there for at least the second week of the review.
