I got a job as an ACT/SAT tutor at a tutoring center, but I'm wondering if this kind of work would be valuable on a medical school application. The management at this place is unreasonable and rude, so I'm deciding whether to stay or find a job that pays more.
It would be nice to have a job that's also looks good for an application, but is tutoring for the ACT/SAT worth anything?

Any official paid or unpaid teaching experience will look good on the application.

However, I also agree with finding another teaching gig that will respect and value your time.

If you are willing to put up a little work upfront I found being a freelance tutor to be a pretty good gig. You can set your own hours and pay. There are a few companies online if you just google freelance tutoring, or you can look for private jobs on craigslist or similar sites. I tutored math and science to middle school through college students.

I'd personally drop it if I were you. Throughout most of my premed life, I did things that made me happy and that I enjoyed. I think it showed in the end when I put my application together and when I went on interviews. I feel like they can tell when someone is genuinely invested in an EC versus when they're not.
