what sort of things should be mentioned for a question such as 'what unique abilities/qualities will contribute to the diversity of the entering class?

Cute... but if there are things in your background that are unique, if you have any cool hobbies, if you have had any interesting job experiences, stuff like that. Just say why you're different from the 4000 other people applying.
