Interview: Nothing, just started researching, and hoping/praying I did well enough to get that precious acceptance.

Acceptance: 1st one- go out with my wife to a nice Italian dinner and had a grey goose martini with 3 hand stuffed blue cheese olives (Delicious). Followed by a $29(overpriced) grouper with scallop and shrimp also Delicious.

2nd one- go out with the wife again, this time chug a beer followed by a ta killa shot w/lime and salt. Followed by 10 fickers hot wings and 4 more beers. Little did I know that later that night I would win $60 from a Big Brother pool I entered at work. Didn't even pick the guy that won, someone else picked him lol. All in all with a KYCOM acceptance and winning $60 it was a pretty damn good day :laugh:.

Depends on what school at this point.

If I get into DMU, Drexel, Wright State or Cincinnati: Probably the same as NSU, just a few beers and a pizza.
If I get into Loyola or BU: Cry, faint, wake up and withdraw from classes and all the other MD schools I applied to except for a few.
 
Got my first interview today!! I celebrated by calling my mom, texting my bf, sister, and 2friends and then bought my bf a video game because he has been so awesome through this process. 🙂

Got accepted to azcom. I freaked out and called my padres. Went home and told my fiance, kissed my daughter and went back to work. hahaha pulling all my apps except for my state MD and calling it DONE.

My wife and I are going on a cruise! last little vacation before the craziness begins...

I love cruises for realization; no planing, new ports every day...food and sun!!!😎

I've been accepted at three schools and I haven't really done anything special. I am waiting for the matriculation deposit before I go crazy. I honestly keep on waiting for them all to call and say it was a mistake, especially since Nova misspelled my name on the acceptance letter.
 
I know this is a DO thread... but I interviewed at my top MD choice school, and I won't find out until Oct. 15... coincidentally I'll be in vegas for an interview at Touro-NV on the 15th... so needless to say if I get accepted Im going to party like a rock-star in vegas

Haha I know what you mean. The day after I received my acceptance letter to KCUMB they sent me a trifold "apply to KCUMB" brochure. That just seems wrong..
 
I am a geek 1. Get a few new games that are coming out taken care of. 2. Fully devoting to find a temporary job, don't care what just need money. 3. Traveling for 2 months. --> Plan for acceptances

For interviews,,probably just meh.
 
I think I'm going to go out to a really nice restaurant...

If i get accepted somewhere, I'm going to In and Out. Getting a 4x4 with fries, both animal style, and a coke. Then I'm going to have a couple beers and go into an amazing, wonderful beer and food coma.

actually the size is 4x4. Four meat patties, and four slices of cheese. Animal style is grilled onions and extra spread (thousand island). de-friggin-licious.

Its pretty amazing. If you ever have a chance to go to In and Out I highly recommend it. Best fast-food burgers I've ever had. Better than most restaurant ones, too. Only ones I've ever had that are better are 50/50 burgers (half ground beef half ground bacon). Yummy.

3/3 at DO schools! Celebrating the acceptances & my birthday tomorrow night at Cheesecake Factory, yum!

The 4x4 is a heart stopper. I had no idea they did fries animal style, but I always get my burgers that way. Yum

Yeah the fries are only meh unless you get them animal style! You won't regret it dude. And you guys are wrong... 5 guys is better 😉


Speaking of 5 guys, I will likely go there if I get an acceptance! Get the little cheeseburger (or just normal size) with EVERYTHING on it (all the red and all the black, minus the 2 things I dislike) with some cajun fries, fry sauce, and a Dr. Pepper. That is how I will celebrate!

I liked 5 guys, pretty good burger. For my money, though, i'll take In and Out any day of the week.

I can certainly understand this. Money/cost drives most of my decisions. But if accepted I'll be buying the burger I really want, no matter the cost!

YES! 5 Guys! I just introduced my husband to 5 Guys a few weeks ago. Good stuff!
 
My parents took me out to dinner and got me a massage package and a stethoscope. 🙂 It was really sweet!
 
Just booked a cruise for the wife and myself...my favorite relaxing vacation before the craziness of med school!

Just got ACCEPTED! So it looks like tomorrow I'm going to be treating myself to some 5 Guys with my wife and maybe I'll invite my parents too!
