I applied to both Howard and Hampton, haven't heard anything and I don't know if they do interviews or not. Nervously awaiting as well. However, I looked on apta.org and according to them Howard makes its final decision in Early April, idk about Hampton though.

I saw in another forum (all you might have too haha) that grad school admissions at hampton make a decision about 2 weeks after getting apps...so if they at least have apps now, hopefully we should here within the next week i would think!

I know Howard makes decisions by April, not about Hampton though.

Omg finally a Hampton acceptance in this thread!! Congrats JD I hope we all have the same luck. It seems like they notify students via email so I'll definitely keep an eye on mines.

Howard has started to send out their acceptances. I received an email from the admissions chairperson the night of 3/12. They allow until 3/26 to respond with a letter of intent and a $300 deposit. So if you haven't heard from them yet, it's likely the next round of emails should be sent after that point. Good luck to all!

I know I am equally nervous about this! Hampton & Howard have sent out acceptances and I'm still waiting on mines... the last time this happened to me with two schools (Langston & Lebanon Valley College) and I got both rejections in the same week -___- now I'm wishing I never came back to read this thread now the suspense is worse lol. I guess I'll just pray and think positive for now and try not to stress over it. I hope to return to this thread with the good news.

I agree mccomasg09 about the nervous part...I emailed last week to check the status of everything and they said the graduate college has yet to make a decision...unfortunately no timeline. I want to ask but don't want to be bothering them if someone else has, since I'm sure they're getting a lot of emails regarding this.

Hello,

I'm a current 1st year at hampton. I heard back from them on feb 2nd last year but if you haven't heard back yet, don't freak out because some people didn't hear from them until as late as June/July. The semester starts after Labor Day so they run up until the last minute making sure they can accept everybody possible. Hope this helps 🙂

Mccomasg09- The email said that the pt school send their recommendations to the graduate school, but only the graduate school admissions can accept or deny applicants (based on pt school recommendations). But it makes complete sense that they would send your app to the graduate school only if they recommended acceptance. It sounds like a different process than what I've heard other schools do. I had to read and reread the email multiple times to get a grasp haha and I'm still confused too.

I got an acceptance email to Hampton yesterday and I will be attending there come the fall! They only give you 7 days to either accept or decline before they move on to the next person on the list. More should start to hear back soon. Good luck!

I never heard from Howard either but I'm waiting for an acceptance to either one. Its sad none of them do waitlists. Its like you basically don't know if your rejected until everyone is accepted. Thats harsh =/
