Hey everyone! I'd really appreciate any advice that can be given! My GPA and DAT are on the low side (18 AA and 3.04 GPA) but I currently work as a teacher through Teach for America for Washington D.C. and I know that Howard is big on giving back to the community. I have over 150 shadowing hours and I've done various extracurricular activities including working almost full time during college. Does anyone know of a person who got in with these scores to Howard, or whether I have a chance? Thanks so much!

I'd say you have a definitely chance, but I would consider retaking the DAT at some point if you don't hear back this cycle. I worked a lot in undergrad, so I know how hard it is to get a high GPA. I think schools take that into consideration because I've had a handful of interviews so far. Good luck, and keep up the good work!
