Roseman University Class of 2028* Interview/Acceptance Thread

Hi congrats on your interview! Just to reiterate - no waitlist movement since Dec 20??

its stressing me out too, i haven't seen anything since dec 20 as well. waitlisted since 12/13 🙁

im glad to hear others are in the same boat as me, I have turned addicted to my email since I got the waitlist news in December! Do other waitlist people think there will be movement next Friday (when the most recent interviewees hear back) ?

I would hope it’s before then!! Maybe this Friday?

To all predental students considering attending Roseman, I feel it is my responsibility to share a significant concern about the school’s treatment of students and its impact on student success. While the school may offer an appealing program on the surface, there are serious issues you should be aware of before making your decision.

One of the biggest challenges at the school is the deliberate gatekeeping of essential practice materials, such as plastic teeth, that are crucial for developing clinical skills. Access to these materials is tightly controlled by the specifically designated toxic dispensary staff, who frequently refuse reasonable student requests with intentional viciousness and contempt. This creates unnecessary barriers to practice and hinders skill development.

Adding to the problem is the behavior of the dispensary staff, particularly one individual who is consistently rude, unprofessional, and outright abusive toward students. Many students have reported being treated with unbelievable disrespect and humiliated when attempting to obtain the supplies they need. This toxic environment significantly impacts morale and makes an already challenging skill to learn even more difficult.

The dispensary operates on a highly restrictive schedule, often closing early or being unavailable during times when students most need access. Everything is locked away from students. This lack of flexibility further exacerbates the difficulties students face in obtaining essential materials.

Many people have complained yet the admin refuses to do anything about this. They rapidly expand their class size without limitations yet deliberately withhold these crucial materials from students. As a dental student, your education and success depend on your ability to practice effectively. Gatekeeping critical resources and fostering a hostile environment are not just inconveniences. They are obstacles that directly impact your learning experience and preparedness for clinical practice.

While every school has its strengths and weaknesses, these issues at this school are significant enough to warrant serious consideration. After talking to students from many other schools, they provide easier access to practice materials (plastic teeth, burs, flowable, composite, bond and etch, blended/spherical amalgam, wedges, Soflex discs, mylar strips, tofflemire bands, the list goes on) and foster supportive environments for their students, without locking them away or hiding them from students on purpose with a dispensary staff that handles every reasonable request with utmost malice. It is worth researching your options and ensuring the school you choose aligns with your needs and values to become a competent dental professional. Make an informed decision, and choose a school that prioritizes your success over profits and bureaucracy.
Have a lot of issues with this message as a Roseman dental student haha especially the "outright abusive toward students" lol. For sure have never felt that way, but to each their own

Also why do you keep reposting this message @Tay2

I have a couple of questions about the school and program if you don't mind me asking

While I think this is a valid concern, can you describe any other cons about the school? I feel like every program is going to have a few things that aren't amazing and students will always have opinions about things. Also, do you attend Roseman? Is this the only major concern you have? Why are you so against Roseman in general? Truly just trying to understand the hostility toward the school and program. Thank you in advance.

I believe they applied to Roseman this cycle, not sure if they were accepted or not.

How many people are in the group me? Just trying to get an idea of how many seats left

Thank you

The fb group has 62, I think the admins are students but didn't confirm.
but I wonder if there could be some students who were accepted or admitted but not joining the group, so the number may not be accurate. I mean I really hope the number is low so there could more movement for the WL...

There will be people who haven't joined the FB who were accepted, and then there will be people who joined the FB group that will end up going somewhere else. My class FB has a total of 92 people (including a few admins) the class size at Roseman was 100 for my class.

If you accept a spot you get a link to the Facebook group which has a link for the GroupMe
Does that mean Facebook would be the most accurate for number of students that have accepted a spot? Cause they would have to join Facebook group to get the group me link?

I guess if we don't receive an interview invite at this point for the Feb interview.. is it safe to say it is over...

Spoke with them over the phone regarding the next wave of acceptances...They said there are still on going interviews so maybe beginning of March. This waiting process really is the hardest part 🙁

That acc seems like it’s most plausible which sucks . They sent out acceptances on Jan 22 and gave them 30 days. Next interview feb 21. So they’ll accept the people they interviewed and waitlisted in next round

Just confused because last year after Dec they only gave people 15 days and sent out multiple rounds of acceptances by now (Jan 15 and Feb 1) last year

It shows 77 today, does that mean people have heard back? I'm still kind of confused how often they contact students it doesn't align with the previous years.... especially if they told me next one is March

I'm unsure about how often. However, for Roseman, February will be the last round of interviews. From last year, I strongly believe there will be many waves of acceptances off of waitlists in March and April.
