How's SUNY Downstate? Bias towards out-of-staters?

Is SUNY downstate the same as Stony Brook?
I had primarily applied to this school but I am getting lazy for the secondary; what do you guys suggest? Is this school good/ bad?

since I am from out-of-state, i have to fill in why i would like to attend NY and my support system 🙁

suny downstate is not the same as stony brook. downstate is in brooklyn. i'm out of state and applied there. for the secondary, you can talk about wanting a change of environment, and meeting new people to form a new 'support system.'
