I just got an ERAS message from Temple that says:
"Hello,
Please be sure all sections of your application are complete and ready for review."
This freaked me out so I double checked if anything was missing but couldn't find any missing parts of my application, and I've gotten an interview offer somewhere else. Did anyone get this message? It's very generic and strange
Thanks!

Anyone know if interviews come in multiple batches? Ie, if we did not get an interview invite from a place posted already, should we be sending e-mails expressing our interest or should we give it more time in case we get a later invite?

From what other posts have said, it seems the same as what would be considered top tier for IM. Wisconsin’s PD is the author for fast facts though, so that might move it up as well. What programs are considered top programs for HPM fellowship?

Anyone heard from Massachusetts programs?
Yeah I agree it feels like programs are slower this year about sending out interviews (or I am just not getting them). Has any one heard from Indiana?
Joined just to contribute, thank you for setting this up!

Also agree with earlier posts, it does feel slow this year.
JHU did send an "interview invite" and in their message said they are finalizing virtual interview details still, and that another email will go out soon. I wonder if this is something other programs are also working on and the cause of the delays.

There is no universal best HPM fellowship. What programs are considered top programs for HPM fellowship?
While the typical brand names (MGH, Mayo, UCSF, Stanford, etc) tend to be strong... there are leaders in the field, both thought-leaders and political leaders, at institutions that might not otherwise be considered classical "big name" institutions.
Just a few for example:
Christian Sinclair at U Kansas
Mellar Davis at Geisinger
Tammy Quest at Emory
The top program for you is a place where you mesh with the faculty, like the curriculum, enjoy the location, and has ties to where you want to go.

Like most interviews for med school and residency I would expect it to be a relatively unique experience but to have e some variation on the same questionsDoes anyone know what the actual interviews are like? I have my first next week and am trying to prepare.
I'm the only one applying to HPM in my program and no one applied the years above me so I don't have many people to ask about it.
Thanks!
I got asked “why palliative” in about 8 different ways
some behavioral questions “tell me about a time when…
…you were stressed and how you managed it
…you disagreed with a supervising physician
….you didn’t get along with a colleague
…a bad clinical outcome happened and how you dealt with it hit
…you failed
…you had a very satisfying patient encounter and why”
“Tell me about you!”
“What’s your greatest accomplishment”
“Why xyz program?” (Subtext: worship me!)
and of course a certain amount of shooting the breeze, “what questions do you have?” Etc
I found all the people I interviewed with generally pleasant and kind. The virtual format feels surprisingly like the regular interview but less uncomfortable because it’s from my room, no travel, no hotel, no flight, but less free food.

Anyone know how and when we start registering for nrmp?
NRMP
The NRMP uses a mathematical algorithm to place applicants into residency and fellowship positions. Research on the algorithm was the basis for awarding the 2012 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences.
Select register and then it will walk you through. You need your USMLE scores and AAMC ID.
