I was wondering if I could be deployed to a specific location such as Japan or Korea. If so, what are the chances of receiving the deployment of my choice (especially for Japan and Korea)?

My understanding is that getting stationed in Japan is difficult, and getting stationed in Korea is quite easy.
That isn't an official thing, but it is my understanding.
I do not believe either is considered a deployment.

Also, keep in mind that they will not actually guarantee you a location. When the time comes, you will be stationed wherever they need you.
