Are there opportunities to shadow at bases during school for the Navy HPSP? Like during winter break, spring break, summer...etc? I think it would be a great way to get in with specialists/find a place you would want to be after d-school.

Yes there is an opportunity. You just have to go online to your education account that you get when you commission and put in the dates and where you want to go as well as call the office that arranges these things and tell them what you want to do and they will arrange it. All this information on how to do this will be on your education account. I am going to do it next year.

Sorry I am not familiar with the HSCP.

Yes there is an opportunity. Oh I am going to do perio so I am planning on shadowing the perio department, introducing myself etc. Have talked to several students who have already done it and it is best to do during 2nd or 3rd year when you have a little more knowledge and can do more. The ones who did it 1st year couldn't do anything.
