Has anyone received an email from a military recruiter offering HPSP accompanying their acceptance?

The reason I ask is that I'm on an alternate list, yet I just got such an email congratulating me on my acceptance to the school I'm alternate at. I have not received any phone calls or emails about my status change from the school itself (and the email was sent after admissions office business hours). My online application status still says "Alternate List".

Is this a good sign or a red herring??

They get your name after you register with aamc. Doesn't mean you're accepted.
