Hello everyone, this is probably going to make me sound like a complete idiot who is lacking his own research, but I have attempted, unsuccessfully, to find the answer elsewhere. So my questions are, would I be able to receive and use and ROTC scholarship in college, and then defer my service time to go to medical school on a HPSP scholarship? Thanks to anyone who answers!

That's a really long time in the military. Even if you do Family Med you're looking at 4 (ROTC) + 4 (HPSP) + 1 (Intern) + 2 (Residency) years in uniform. That's a very long time...

Both my mother and my father are surgeons, Father is orthopedics and mother is an oncocological surgeon, my father has been in the Air Force for 26 years. I don't mind being in the military for a long time, in fact, it is what I want.
