HRSA is trying to get feedback from stakeholders to how HPSA's are scored. As a current scholar, my feedback has centered on how the minimum site score for us to find a community health center or county should be lowered from where it is now (20 for scholars) to actually encourage provider continuity and stability which is the purpose of NHSC. Also I am interested in rural medicine, and I think rural counties should have their score criteria evaluated on measured such a population density and facilities that are reflective of the health care needs of rural America.
