Please, I am having a very hard time to decide if I should go to HSDM...I really am not sure if I want to specialize or not (or do research or policy reform) but I am worried about whether or not I can actually practice general dentistry after my 4 years at hsdm.

Can anyone tell me: what are the requirements (ie. how many endo's, crown preps, etc.) are needed for graduation.

Would it be very difficult to take a state board (ie. not the NERB) something like texas or florida.

Please help me out- thanks!:luck:

I have talked to many current students as well as recent graduates, and all agree there is no problem is practicing general dentistry after school. I think you should come to HSDM in the fall. Btw what are your other options?

On the side note, since this thread on deciding for HSDM,
so here i subscribe for it...lol

Penn (with deans scholarship = -50%) and State school = UMDNJ

* I am asking about taking other state boards in case I want to move to texas to be with family there.

Thanks!:luck:

Hey guys, I am sorry to be annoying but this is a really important decision for me, so I was wondering if any of you could post an answer please!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the love out there!

If you know you want to specialize for sure...then HSDM...if not, it really doesn't matter much on where you go. But since you are getting 50% scholarship at Penn, why not go to Penn instead of UMDNJ since you can still get an Ivy League name on your diploma.........
