hSDN Class of 2012

I have a feeling they're not going to be so warm and fuzzy there. 😉

Crap, I didn't think that through. I can't access Better than Facebook now

INS IS NO LONGER ONE OF US.

Sir Bedevere: There are ways of telling whether she is a witch.
Peasant 1: Are there? Oh well, tell us.
Sir Bedevere: Tell me. What do you do with witches?
Peasant 1: Burn them.
Sir Bedevere: And what do you burn, apart from witches?
Peasant 1: More witches.
Peasant 2: Wood.
Sir Bedevere: Good. Now, why do witches burn?
Peasant 3: ...because they're made of... wood?
Sir Bedevere: Good. So how do you tell whether she is made of wood?
Peasant 1: Build a bridge out of her.
Sir Bedevere: But can you not also build bridges out of stone?
Peasant 1: Oh yeah.
Sir Bedevere: Does wood sink in water?
Peasant 1: No, no, it floats!... It floats! Throw her into the pond!
Sir Bedevere: No, no. What else floats in water?
Peasant 1: Bread.
Peasant 2: Apples.
Peasant 3: Very small rocks.
Peasant 1: Cider.
Peasant 2: Gravy.
Peasant 3: Cherries.
Peasant 1: Mud.
Peasant 2: Churches.
Peasant 3: Lead! Lead!
King Arthur: A Duck.
Sir Bedevere: ...Exactly. So, logically...
Peasant 1: If she weighed the same as a duck... she's made of wood.
Sir Bedevere: And therefore...
Peasant 2: ...A witch!

INS! You can join us once again! 🙂

Welcome to SDN's High School forum.

You might have noticed the hSDN Icons
ui_aspire.gif
some members have. These icons indicate that the member has joined the hSDN User-group.

The hSDN User-Group is limited to High-School Students and SDN Staffers.

To join the hSDN Usergroup, you must do the following:

go to the Group Memberships link under the My Account tab up top. (clicking the link above will take you there)

Locate "hSDN Member" and select Join Group.

Then click the Join Group button at the bottom.

You will be asked to provide a reason why you are requesting to join. Do not leave this blank.

Your request will be reviewed by a moderator and you will be granted membership. You may be contacted if the moderator needs more information.

Once you are an hSDN Member, you will have access to the "Better than Facebook" forum (hSDN Social Forum).

Notes (9/1/08):
- The Aspire forum has been renamed High School SDN (hSDN)
- The social forum (previously the Clubhouse) has been renamed "Better Than Facebook" by popular vote of the members

PS: If you didn't already see the thread that INS bumped in Better Than Facebook, follow the same link and you can request to join the hSDN Alumni group. I just did.

I know but I already did the alumni thing about 10 days ago, I'd get both icons at about the same time

Ahhhh. Makes sense. 🙂

I got my badge! It's so purty. 😀

Officially an alumni as of last night. I thought I would be happy to graduate for the most part, but I'm actually a bit depressed over the whole thing. Having to basically say goodbye to people who I probably won't see again for ages has been a bit tough. I think it'll pass soon, but I'm definitely going to miss my friends in college.

Congrats, AHMD!! :highfive: I must admit, I was a little more bummed than I thought I would be as well. There's a few people I'll definitely miss.

I'm sure you'll see those who you care about, don't worry about it. =D

Wisdom teeth out in t-minus 33 hours and 34 minutes! Starting to panic 😱

So guys,

No Class of 2020 thread in pre allo yet?

You know the person who creates the thread goes down in history forever, right??

Still pretty early to create it. I says we wait until everyone here graduates, and then we'll create it.

Anyway, while we're waiting to settle the whole 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thing, has everyone graduated? I don't want to put up my congratulatory post until I make sure everyone has gotten their diploma.

I get it Sunday. XD

It's alright, although I'm certain the other pre-allos will be like 'lolwtf 2020 already?'

Yeah. I have the feeling we'll get this response:

oh-look-its-this-thread-again.jpg

Although, in hindsight, it really doesn't matter what everyone else thinks. I'll leave the task to someone else, but good luck to whoever decides to create it first!

You can make it if you'd like. =D

I love that picture. Hey, you have your location as MA, what part? I'm originally from the South Shore.

Whoa there new guy, that honor goes to CeeEstee0 himself.

See pre 1000th post.

I've been that way before! I used to live in Norwell, which is by Plymouth and Brockton.

Oh really? Where do you live now? I remember going down that way for field trips to Plymouth Planation and such. It's a nice area. Too bad the weather for our area is terrible right now (early June with rain and temps in the mid 50's).

I live in North Carolina now. We have rather temperate weather for now, but we're probably going to get slammed with 90s and 80%+ relative humidity by the end of the week.

I've went through the five stages of lack of alumni badge, I've accepted it.

Most of us have turned the tassel... I suppose it's time to move to the pre-health forums.

I have a feeling they're not going to be so warm and fuzzy there. 😉

This is how I'm picturing it (except with making it to med school instead of submitting a paper).

Just think Ceph, when you do get them out, you can go:

Bazinga 😀

I survived! Ha. Apparently as I was first waking up I kept repeating "I hate the dentist" over and over. 😛 Currently vegging out on the couch, zonked out on meds.

I feel like I haven't posted in eons...

How is everyone? Hello to the new people I don't know yet, i'm sure you're lovely.

As far as the class of 2020 thread goes do you guys mind waiting until august for it? Maybe we won't get flamed as hard if we are actually in the school year. Also I think I've picked a title, if you all concur.

Class of 2020-Y!IFMBA

I'm doing pretty well! I got a new laptop with my grad money, so it's been fun playing around with it. Got a 14" Dell Inspiron, with a green striped switchable lid. 🙂 I also am happy to say that I seem to be recovering from my wisdom teeth experience quite well, though I will be very thankful when I can eat real food again.

I think that might be a good strategy. In pre-vet people don't generally make the class of 20XX threads until the application cycle of, haha. And what does the Y!IFMBA stand for? 😛

Yes! I found my broken antenna

Hahaha, I see 😛

Also, three words: red velvet cupcakes. I'm in love. 😀

Starbucks gave me a sample one yesterday, and that was basically the smartest business decision they ever made. So. Good.

Ohhh my gosh, Starbucks has them now?! I definitely am seeing a Starbucks trip in my near future 😀 They are wonderful.

Starting to get a bit late for this, so here's to congratulate everyone for surviving high school. As famous British doctor Graham Chapman said, "I hope I will have achieved something lasting." I think it's safe to say we all have, so congrats to everyone!

It was my younger brother's turn to get his wisdom teeth out this morning. He is extremely entertaining post-anesthesia, one of the first things he asked while waking up was whether they had taken his kidney. 😀

1 in 3 wisdom teeth cases result in a stolen kidney. Just sayin'.
