Im doing TBR chemistry practice passages at the end of each chapter and ive scored 81/100 on both chapters so far. According to TBR, this converts to a 12. However, the AAMC scoring charts have the PS 12 at somewhere around a 46/52. Is it because TBR is a lot harder than the AAMCs so they allow more mistakes for a 12?

It's because TBR included a scaling chart to get people to stop asking them for one. It's pretty much meaningless.

SN2, you might have to start changing your schedule a bit. TBR is still top notch but the MCAT is changing (officially in 2015 and unofficially now). TBR had roughly 50% of my exam (obv not verbal) and TPR had about 25. I would have failed if I just did TPR and EK.

what did you think about EK bio and the bio passages on the real MCAT you took? Were sections like genetics in the EK sufficient?

EDIT: in reply to pfaction...sorry lol

What do you mean that the the MCAT has changed unofficially? Is TBR and EK not sufficient anymore?
