Does philosophy count as a humanities?

Usually.
It depends on your school, though. Some schools count philosophy as humanities; some say it's liberal arts. I think that that's stupid, since I don't entirely understand the difference between the two, and many schools use the two terms interchangeably.
If you're fulfilling a requirement, I would say it counts, but YMMV, so check with your schools.
