Does anyone have any insight on the how effective it is to link to Cornell Via Hunter College? Also can any recent Hunter Post Bac grad talk about their success getting to Med School and what their credentials are?

I am 27, ans I have a 3.37 from a top 50 undergrad school in MSIS. I have a successful business I own since in NYC, and I am looking to do a post bac as a career changer to get into a good school in the NY Metro, Philly Metro, or S. Jersey areas.... my wife is a PHD student at Columbia so we need to stay near where there is a lot of Pharma research jobs... I am applying to NYU, Columbia, and Rutgers... I really want to begin school in 2 yrs from now (med school) so I either need to link or do a program in 1 year... Any thoughts?

From what I know (and this comes from reading up on the Hunter post-bacc Yahoo! group), it's somewhat difficult to get into Cornell via the linkage. The 2 (or is it 3) students with the highest GPAs are chosen, and after being chosen, they must do very well on the MCATs. For more info, you can contact Kelly Alba ([email protected]). I believe she is in Cornell at the moment through the linkage.

Good luck!
