I see a couple of threads mentioning this book. How necessary is it?

My class has a series of 7 lectures devoted to biostats. It was taught in first year.


They are having a review lecture for it second year. I haven't retained much. Is this book worth it? It's relatively cheap compared to most review books. But then again, not only am I stingy, I do not want to get pile up the books unnecessarily.

It should also be a quick read considering it is <200 pages.

Ideas?

that was the book assigned to use for our biostats classes and its pretty good. i am definitely going to give it a read before step 1.

It's good if you don't have much of a foundation in biostatistics (which was my case). If you have a decent foundation, then just stick to FA.
