Hey folks,

I'm planning on purchasing HY Cell & Molecular Bio, since I am especially weak in those subjects. From what I've read on these forums, the 1st Edition (1999) is much more concise and high-yield than the 2nd edition. But the price is considerably higher, since it's no longer in print and supposedly still in demand (about $20 more on amazon). Is it worth it to fork over the extra $20 for the 1st edition or should I just get the 2nd?

I just used the one in the library. It is a decent book but I didn't read through it more than once.

dang it was like 80 bucks when I bought it, oh well I figure if it gets me a few extra questions right its worth it

The 1999 edition is very cheap on amazon right now. 20 bucks!

I bought mine used off Amazon for 50 bucks, and it's an old library book. I didn't realize it is such a hot item. I'm definitely going to sell it back after my boards though, so I'll get my money back.

Sorry to the OP to jack the thread but....

I used BRS Cell Bio 4th Ed. during MS1 and really not looking to buy that HY '99 Ed. jumpoff.

FA 2010 says basically not enough images to be considered comprehensive.

Anyone used BRS instead or have any comments about it?????

I know I know just buy HY, which I will prob eventually do, but any comments will be appreciated 👍
