Okay, so I'm pretty sure most people use this book. I've only done the first chapter (in the 2006 edition) which is on cell membrane and all the receptors, etc. There seems to be quite a few errors. I'm not sure if they are all 'wrong' since I only checked some of them in the FA, which might have it's own problems! Stuff like:
p 15 it states that dobutamine has both chronotropic and inotropic effects, whilst it only has inotropic.
p15 it states that B1/2 antagonists have positive inotropic and chronotropic effects
p16 it states that the D1 receptor family has its effect via the AC pathway AND the PLc pathway, but it only uses the AC pathway
Anyone else picked up on this? Or is it best to leave out the receptors in the HY and just get it from the Pharms intro of the FA? It's kinda annoying since I was planning on working through the HY and leaving the FA section for Molec Bio, but now I doubt HY!
(Also, is it really worth going through all 22o pages of the 2006 edition, or are there some things delt with well enough elsewhere in FA?)
Thank you!
