So I just filled out a secondary today from LECOM Bradenton, and most likely will have all my 8 D.O. schools secondaries filled out and submitted before my new MCAT scores arrive August 16th (I'm retaking July 16th). Once I get my new scores I planned on applying to 10-12 M.D. schools depending on how competitive my new scores were. I chose to wait on applying before this because I had a 23S, 3.73 sG.P.A. 3.70 cG.P.A. and figured my chances were very low for M.D. schools.
I guess my question is hypothetically if LECOM or any D.O. school calls me wanting to set up an interview what should I do? Should I go as early as possible? If accepted how long do you have to give an answer? I did say in my application to await new MCAT scores for both D.O. and M.D. schools. I don't want to miss out on M.D. acceptances at some schools I would rather attend because of this.
Of course this is all hypothetical and I shouldn't count on acceptances but I think it's important to understand how this process works just in case I am presented with the problem.
