what if you get accepted to a school that starts early compared to other schools but you're still on the wait-list on other schools? can you start at the one school then withdraw if you get accepted at another of the wait-list schools or are you done once you begin at the first one?

just curious 🙂

I have no idea... another question would be what are the chances to get in after being wait-listed😕 😕 😕 😕 ????

I would not count on wait-lists I guess... So, if you are in such a situation, just go to the school you are accepted at, and then if you get accepted off a wait-list, ask the schools about your options... In short, I would never turn down an acceptance for counting on a wait-list... What do you guys think?

AAMC rules stipulate that once you begin orientation at a given medical school, you may not accept an invitation to another school. Basically once you start school, you're stuck.

i wouldnt turn down an acceptance 🙂 i just didnt know if you had to withdraw other apps when classes start or if it was considered dirty or cheating to do what was described above

Ya... I have no idea... Well, we have the second opinion saying that AAMC will not all it to happen... So, we don't have to worry about it do we.. Plus, it would suck that you have to move after settling down in one place...

NO!!!

exmike is right - once you start at one school, you're stuck there. i was talking with some friends today, and they pointed out that this is presumably the reason that FSU starts in June. most FSU acceptees are probably on waitlists elsewhere, so FSU's gotta get them started early so the other state schools don't poach them away.
