To make a really long story short I was an idiot when I was a little bit younger, did very poorly (20 credits straight F's one semester, stopped attending without withdrawing). I ended my first college stint with a 1.16 GPA over 85 credit hours. Took a year and a half of from school and have done a 180 degree turn around. I rarely get anything lower then a full A. As long as I keep doing what I am doing I will end up with 128.5 credit hours of having a GPA of 3.92 AFTER I came back to school. Not even as much as an A- in a pre req. or calc.
My problem is that I **** my own bed and now I have to sleep in it, basically even with my improvements I figured it out my projected GPA's to be
Cumulative: 2.81
BCP: 3.03
Science: 2.97
Also I have taken very heavy course loads, work full time during the semester and don't take breaks over the summer (at all) since I have been back.
My questions are has anyone ever gotten into dental school with a GPA this low?
I have come a long way and will not give up now, but if I don't get in next year, I really do not think an additional year will help me much. I will barely be able to break the 3.00 cumulative mark and that is assuming I keep rocking all my classes.
Opinions and advice from all are welcome, thanks for taking the time to read about the mess I got myself into!
