A few weeks ago I mailed a letter of interest to UCSD clarifying some things on my application and emphasizing my interest in their program.

So I got an email from someone at the UCSD admissions office writing me back about it - which was super nice of them and they didn't have to do. But upon glancing at the letter all I saw was "final decision.' I KID YOU NOT my vision blurred and I felt sick. When my vision finally cleared and I could see again it simply said that they had NOT made a final decision as to whether or not to interview me but were waiting to receive more completed secondaries before deciding.

Still nice of them to actually reconsider my file and my letter. But I haven't felt that sick since I got the flu.

Yeah, it's like that. Except for me when I would get e-mails from schools, it was more like my stomach was trying to jump through my diaphragm. Hang in there; hopefully some good news will be coming your way soon!🙂

I know the feeling. Stupid e-mails. Everytime I see I got something from an email ending with .edu, I feel like I'm gonna give birth to a 8lb. food baby.

  so very true

Yeah. . . call me what you will, but the first thing I do is check my email every day back from class. I've even started to wish weekends were over sooner so the Adcoms would start meeting again. *sighs* What has the process done to me!?!?!:scared: :scared:

I hope you get the interview!

i damn near have a heart attack each time i get an email, which haven't been too common thus far.

Heh. 🙂 I work at a med school that I've applied to, and they're constantly sending campus updates, initiative, etc. crap, and every time I get one (esp. those from the Dean) I have a mini, wholly unwarrented heart attack.

I confess, I have as well. And the Monday holiday? Totally sucked. (But that might have also been because I had to work...)
