I have really good stats but I am the most awkward. I got rejected from UF and now I am scared I will screw up my interview at Tufts. Any advice on how to prepare? I tried memorizing responses to common questions with the result of not remembering anything in the heat of the moment.

Don't memorize answers. They can smell a rehearsed answer a mile away.

Try doing a few mock interviews with a buddy. That definitely helped me

Learn how to hold a conversation asap.

Best way to do it (no joke). Get on a dating service and do a lot of first dates.

Study the previously asked interview questions on SDN. Do not memorize what you will say but rather create talking points in your head that you can pull from and elaborate on. As silly as it sounds, talk to yourself in the mirror when you answer. What is your body language saying? Do you talk with your hands too much? You will become pretty self aware doing this. Then, have friends/family/academic advisors/mentors interview you and ask for honest feedback.
