I am the 3rd grade of veterinary school student in South Korea.

I have prepared ECFVG( Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary

Graduates ) until now. Whole steps for completing are 1)English exam, 2)

Navle, 3)CPE(Clinical Proficiency Examination) or post-graduate one-year clinical study at university.

However, from 2007, the option for post-graduate clinical study at university

will be abolished.

So I have two options. One is preparing CPE and the other is to change my program from ECFVG to PAVE(Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence Board)

PAVE provides almost same procedure with ECFVG. 1)Qualified Exam( basic 5

subject) 2)English test 3)one-year Clinical experience or clinical test 4) navle

The reason I am interested in PAVE is that it gives me a chance to do one-

year clinical experience instead of clinical test.

Acutually, it is almost impossible thing to prepare either CPE or Clinical test in

my country . Because horses are very rare in here. Including me, many

foriegn vets and students don't have permanent right to stay for preparing

clinical test in USA. So one-year clinical year program could be my best

choice. However i dont know what university give me a chance to finish 4th

grade of clinical year in PAVE. Even though i sent maill to PAVE staffs they

did not give me answer.

If you know about my question, please give me answer.

1)Where can I prepare CPE in usa or canada?

2)What university give me PAVE's one-year clinical study. and How much

competition are there to be selected in that university?

I do not know where you can go for sure but you might try contacting the veterinary schools admissions offices to get some help. The site www.aavmc.org has contact info for the US and Canada schools. Good Luck.
