Hey guys!

I was out on retrieval last night (working in a liver transplant centre) and we came over your way - spent the wee small hours of the morning removing a patient's liver and kidneys in Altnegelvin (way up north), before heading back to Brum about 10.30 this morning.

So, I can now say I have been to Ireland - for about 6 hours!

Hope all goes well with you lot :p

that sounds interesting....what do u mean by retrieval? Is this through a rotation that you had to come here? :) Glad you got to visit a bit!

I imagine she means she was here to remove and transport the organs from a patient in Northern Ireland to the UK

i thought so, but I was just wondering if it's normal for interns to do this!

I think one of the interns was carrying the kidney bleep when I was in Beaumont not sure though seen as I wasn't on the urology team
