3.3c, 3.1s and god-awful MCAT (500) due to quick studying (i.e. not complete and for one month). I've already received 3 rejections and am waiting to hear from about 18 more schools. I know my job will pay for me to take 6 credits a semester and I could slowly build my GPA over 1-2 years. In addition, I believe if I devoted a few months to MCAT study, I could hit 510+. I want you guys to be as harsh and real as possible because at this point, I'm just lost.

Thanks!

edit: I realize I've made a similar post in the past but I need constructive criticism and tangible advice. Adcoms, please be as blunt as possible. @Goro @LizzyM @gyngyn

Chances for MD and DO

You shouldn't have applied before completing a post-bacc of some sort. Your steep downward GPA trend is what put your app in a coffin, and then your rushed MCAT nailed that coffin shut, even for URM. I think if you wish to attend medical school in the future you need to start with a couple years of demonstrated excellence in a post-bacc. If you flub the post-bacc, however, it's just a huge waste of time and money, so you really have to make sure you're put together enough for it.

So I need a post-bacc? How many credits should I shoot for and what should be my goal MCAT?

Thanks

I’m considering BU MAMS, Georgetown SMP , Tufts MBS and EVMS SMP. Which of these programs has the best reputation?

Chances are lethal for MD and meh for DO schools. You wouldn't get an II from mine.

Read this:
Do NOT retake the MCAT until you are 100% ready.

follow goros advice and make sure when you take your next mcat you are ready because you may just get tired of studying to improve by small amounts each time
Your MCAT is actually not god awful. If you increased each section by just 2 points you would be at a 508.
Decide what your financial situation is and if you can afford to take 2-3 months off and dedicate it to MCAT go for it.
Im sort of a medical school drop out and I did pretty well on it . The trick to it is dedication and lots of practice.

Where did you apply?
Why didn’t you study properly for the MCAT? That shows really poor judgement.

You have to do really well in a post bacc. Like > 3.6 or it’s game over. If you can’t dedicate the time and effort don’t waste the money. And remember, many schools average Multiple MCAT scores.

HBCUs and FL schools.
Given my GPAs how long would I need to post-back? What MCAT should I try to achieve?

I could go back for a second bachelors and that would take like 50 credits of science.
