I was on the waitlist for UCSF and on Wed I received an email that the list was closed. I gave up on the idea of attending pharmacy school all together for now since I have an 8 month old baby who is very attached to me! Today I received a call offering me a space. I have until tomorrow morning to decide. Should I take it? UCSF students, how hectic is the class schedule. Please help me decide soon.

There are a number of students here that have very young children. I believe there is also a very good support program for students with children. COME COME COME!! You can meet the whole P1 SDN crowd!

Girl, you gotta do it! Your child will ALWAYS be really attached to you, no matter how old they are. Mine are 5 and 7, and they need me too, but I know that I gotta do what's best for the future. And I'm 26, but I still cried when my mom left after she helped me move here. 😳 Don't let this opportunity slip away.

Congrats Shal, like Skywalker said, there are several P1's with small children - me included. When you show up on Monday, you won't miss a beat. Try to have a restful weekend and see you on Monday.

Congratulations, shal! We have quite a few mothers and fathers in my class, some of them single. I know one single mother who works at the hospital I intern at on weekends, so it is "doable". This short term sacrifice will reward you with a great career and a better life for you and the rest of your family. Go for it!

yeah, you should come. my classmate, a P2, just gave birth to a daughter this summer. i'm sure she's busy with school and her baby, and she's doing just fine. so no worries, just come!
