I have never failed a class before... but I just found out I failed my economics class last semester.

I didn't realize that failing 1 class would drop my GPA so much... how much is this going to affect my chances?

I have had a 3.5 GPA holding strong... until now 🙁

I need some uplifting words..

Retake it and pass it. Econ, even though required, is not something that an ADCOM is going to go nuts over. They will see it and may ask you about it, but as long as you retake it, do well and pass it, you should be fine. As far as GPA adjustment, most schools will either take the F and whatever you get the second time and average it. Some will drop the F all together. Eitherway, it shouldn't effect you all that much if it's your only screw up. Good luck and keep your chin up.

Definitely try to retake it and don't be so hard on yourself. Things happen.

Plus, it'll look really good if you do well the second time around. 👍

Damn...that dosent look pretty. I have retaken them. Eventhough I have A's and 1 or two B's after that..I might have totally blown my chances, but who knows.

Thanks guys, that makes me feel better...

Does it look better to take right away or does it matter?

Was your economics class really hard? I saw how a lot of math could be used in economics, but in my macroeconomics we had 2 exams all semester and each of them required about 4 hours of memorization. Too bad you couldn't have had the class I had. Then again, I guess since there were only 2 exams you couldn't really mess up either one and get a good grade.

I'm kind of suprised economics is even a pre-requisite. It seems like a Business Management course would be more useful than economics. In a retail pharmacy for example, the pharmacist is pretty much the manager of the pharmacy.

It was an online economics class and yes it was really hard... we had a test at the end of each chapter, but somehow the teacher worded the questions that they seemed impossible to answer.

I would go through and read and re-read the chapter, even had my economics major sis in law help me... we still failed EACH test..

Each test gave you 3 times to get a passing grade, still no go.

I agree, I would much rather take a buisness managment class over economics again.
