A few months ago I bought the Audiolearn CDs for the PCAT. I have listened to each one numerous times. One of the CDs is labeled as "PCAT Audiolearn Test Simulator". I wanted to study and listen to the CDs before using the test simulator. About a week ago I decided to use the test simulator CD and put in my CD player. I heard nothing but static. I called Audiolearn and sent them an e-mail stating my problem. They were very prompt in sending me another CD without any problems. They had very good customer service. After I received the new CD I put it in my CD player and on this CD I hear nothing. I'm thinking WTF? I'm expecting to hear questions, a pause for me to answer and then the correct answer stated by the narrator. Then I wonder if maybe that CD won't play in my vehicle CD player for some reason. So I decide to try to listen to it in my computer CD player. Well.....what a suprise! It's not an audio CD, but a CD-ROM with a question generator!!!!! DOH! There was no information indicating that this was a software program. I just assumed that it was audio since the other CDs were audio. Man, do I feel stupid! 😳 It would have been helpful if the CD had been labeled as software and not audio.
Just thought I'd share an amusing story.
