I finally got a job....

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Rain at Wimbledon?!?! 😛

👍 Who's your guy?

Not sure, kind of pulling for Federer, but I couldn't explain why. I am now watching a news piece on the 41 year old olympic swimmer. I was told last night she is a UF grad; she won her first gold medal when I was about 1.5 years old.

I just saw that! She won a medal before Mikey Phelps was even born...and is still on the team. Pretty neat; didn't realize she was a Gator though.

So what are you going to do being away from Florida...unable to get your daily dose of Gator trivia??

Nah, it'd be easier to find detailed programs already written up by other institutions for free by using quality searching abilities on Google and just implementing those. Or, getting friends to fax you whatever the hell WVU Hospitals did.

Knock yourself out big boy... blind leading blind may be appropriate here..

Except pip/tazo's breakpoint for Pseudomonas susceptibility needs to be revised, misleads clinicians quite often looking at a micro report.

Published in last month's AAC, a group from Northwestern found a good correlation between linezolid consumption and enterococcal insensitivity. Our latest antibiogram shows 6% faecium isolates resistant to linezolid, I would like to see the proportion of intermediate strains.

ahhh... why stop at Pip/Tazo.. Nicolau et al finally decided their ICU Pseudomonas is out of control againt Merrem...funny he published that in British CID 2007 June. I wonder if it had anything to do with their 500mg q6h regimen....

This is why it's important to evaluate every institution's antibiogram carefully...scrutinize it...do it semiannually.. break it down to different sources and different units.

I've seen Pip/Tazo sensitivity against ps. A from 35% to 99%. And I'm seeing more and more LRVRE... It's over.

Ok. I'm not going to be the clinical director nor do I ever aspire to be. Hooray for propositions that are irrelevant to me! It will be drawn up and I'll read it and help the actual implementation part as a member of the staff. Haha. Enjoy your document writing.

LOL.. u huh. You never know what' you're going to want in the future. And don't be so thin skinned.

btw, I don't write those...

Every day, the director of pharmacy goes around the department and asks all of his employees if there is anything he can do for them before he leaves. I bet Zpak doesn't do that...

heck no...I'm not a DOP.

But when I was a DOP, I rotated weekends, evening, and holiday shifts with the staff. I also filled in to do graveyard...... and made deliveries etc. I never denied a PTO request... I didn't need to go around and ask if they needed anything...because I knew they were well taken care of. My office was never locked even when I wasn't there. If anyone needed anything, they simply came to my office and asked.

It's a cop out to ask the staff what they need right before you go home...because a conscientious staff understands you're about to leave...so why bother asking ...

If your dop felt that staff are happy and needs are met, he woudn't feel the need to go around and ask what anyone needs. And if he doesn't understand what the staff needs...then there is a disconnect.

But I did make my run at the end of the day and thanked them for a job well done.

for a second i thought wvu got a job and i was actually happy to read that.

seriously what happened to you dude?! i thought you had swagger in the hospital.. your first year out you where all optimistic and ****

Reality. And other people. Mostly other people. God, they piss me off.

And Halo sucks.

FYI: your white.. why a black profile pic?[/SIZE].

It's written "you're." And that's Clay Davis from The Wire. Watch better TV shows. If you knew anything about white people, you'd know that we love The Wire.

And if you want to get technical, I'm 1/16th black. Back in the day, my biological grandfather was the Grand Exalted Cyclops of the Cleveland KKK. Had an affair with the quarter black/quarter white girl down the road. When she was 15. My momma was the result, but she was floated down the Ohio River and adopted by a family in WV.
....

I'm just awaiting word from a fella somewhere to get a 2011 budget so he can tell me when and where to show up...

I started in the Summer when it wasn't busy. A few months after I posted this, I realized that he only comes out to offer help if he knew that everything was relatively caught up. If we were busy, he would 100% of the time sneak out without offering help. His office was positioned so that he could leave without going through the main pharmacy area. And he also looks kinda like Milton from Office Space. And he was a Pitt grad.

Reading this **** in retrospect is awesome. Thanks to whoever bumped this. I'm laughing my ass off at myself.

Your director was better than my last director. He did NOTHING in the department. Seriously, he didn't know the computer system, didn't check stuff, NOTHING.

wow he must be super duper smart ....to take home big bucks for doing nothing! he be my hero!

haha.. i may believe that... only because the story is so detailed

i cannot believe that there is a tv show that existed while i was in college that i did not watch!

sorry for bringing up old memories.. lol.... there are not many hospital people on here and i just thought you were one of them... then i saw a post from you hating hospital pharmacy and i just wanted to know what happened... i'm thinking you slept with the bosses wife 😎

good luck in the job hunt

You've lost objectivity...

If you want to see true WVU unfiltered, you've gotta find pre-rotation WVU. Time warp indeed.

OMG! I really thought you had a job, and I was going to congratulate you with bold cap letters, but then I kept reading....

Well maybe in a month or two, you will...hmmm you never know. :luck:

SOOOO true. When I first surfed through these forums, Mike would crack me up because he was so cynical, and sarcastic.

Back then I thought Priaprism321 was a douche, who had too much pride. But at the same time I also thought he was REALLY REALLY smart, because he would post about technical stuff that I couldn't understand due to big pharmacy words...but one day I will understand 😉

I think I had first impressions about alot of people here.

I thought its Z was pretty cool, who gave good advice and seem to know what he was typing, and he also liked using alot of :meanie::meanie::meanie:

I thought Priaziquantil (although its spelled wrong) the one with the blue dog avatar, was jerkish because he told me not to post in the pharmacy forums unless I'm a pharmacy student which pissed me iff, but I never listened sooo...:laugh::laugh:
I'm sure he's not a jerk in real life tho. Its just my first impressions. 😉
