What's crazy is that I feel like I'm way behind! I had originally planned to be done by the beginning of July. Oh well. At least all my transcripts are in, as well as my LORs.

Applying to Jeff, Campbell, UNC, Pitt, and UMd.

I was sooooo nervous up until I hit submit. A little bit of relief followed the submission. But now I'm in the holding pattern / playing the waiting game nonsense.

Jeff is actually my first choice. Thanks goodness they are rolling. Hopefully I can get in during the first round!

You feel behind in JULY? Geez. I didn't submit until late November. You're WAYYY ahead of the game. Good luck! 😎

The schools I'm applying to don't even open their applications yet! O_O (First one earliest opens in September!)

Only one of them uses PharmCAS, the rest do not. So I'm confused here, I haven't taken my PCAT yet, but should I already be submitting a PharmCAS?

General consensus is to apply early. You can add PharmCAS as a recipient to receive PCAT scores once it's available. You don't need to wait until you take the test. If you plan on taking the PCAT then you indicate that on PharmCAS and once you register then you can add the CID# to PharmCAS that way they will get the scores once they are available.

Ok...When you say set PharmCAS as a recipient (I don't think there was one), do you mean when I register for PCAT? Or when I register at PharmCAS, I add the CID# for my PCAT?

You do both. If you already registered for the PCAT then you add the CID# and you should have added PharmCAS as a recipient before you got done registering. It depends on which one you do first. It really doesn't matter what the order is though.

So...schools participating in PharmCAS has to receive PCAT scores from test center AND PharmCAS?

Schools participating in PharmCAS will get the results from PharmCAS not Pearson.

WTF? Then why did I pay $25 for UIW for?!?! Why do they even have them listed anyways T_T. Sigh so...what do I do now I already registered for PCAT how am I going to get the scores to PharmCAS.

Select PharmCAS as a recipient. You can select recipients any time.

I didn't take my first PCAT until June, and I plan to take again in August. Don't have my scores, but submitted my application. Apps will be released as soon as the PCAT score is hit. If you wait to submit until then, you have to wait for all the processing that follows.

Contact Pearson and ask for instructions on a refund.

I did the exact same thing. I designated schools on PharmCAS AND through Pearson. Paying a ridiculous amount of money through Pearson unnecessarily. When I contacted Pearson about another question, the representative clued me in...she said that I didn't need to selecet any of the schools participating in PharmCAS and I should ask them about a refund.

They'll give you an email address. Email and let them know it was not clear for designations that the individual schools did not need to be selected. I do find it odd that the put all those schools on there that want to be notified only through PharmCAS.

👍
It does create room for confusion. If the schools participate in PharmCAS then they should not have them listed there.

And my GPA/Transcripts verified/calculated today. Application will be released in the next mailing to my schools.

Now, just need to get the stupid scores from the June PCAT back so I can decide if I am still going to retake in August (which I likely will - don't feel I hit the 80% or more I wanted).
