I got a minor!

Hey everyone,

So ever since high school my parents have always been on me about getting a minor for drinking(atleast thats what we call it in MN), now to keep things straight i havn't actual got one but i do tend to party on the weekends and i am still underage...so what if i did get one? do you think it would affect my chance of getting into Opt. school?

What the hell is a "minor"? I thought you meant you chose, like, "biology" or something... Do you mean you were arrested? Fined? As far as I know, the only non-academic infractions you must address in your application to optometry school are felonies.

If you're worried about getting something like that and you really wanna be an optometrist, I'd get my priorities straight and stop doing whatever you're doing that's going to get you in trouble.

One of your potential interviewers might pull this up and ask why they should accept you over the next guy. Just be a little more aware.

You may not have trouble applying to optometry school but my sisters who is an M.D. said that they will give you a hard time when you apply for your state license required for practice and prescriptions.
