I am so happy!!!! 😀 😀 😀 I got an e-mail from SUNY Downstate and this after my husband called me this afternoon to tell me R. Wood Johnson sent me a rejection letter. Okay, now I am going to post this info in the appropriate threads 😀

SDN is great...when people get rejections I actually feel sad for them, but if a premed at my school got one I would selfishly be happy that there's an extra spot open for me.

And when you guys get good news I get happy! 😀 It means there still hope for me too :wink:

When did you interview at RWJ and who interviewed you?

Good luck and congrats on downstate. Are you a NYS resident? One of my girlfriends just interviewed there yesterday....the atmosphere/neighborhood is pretty sucky (i live 20 minute away) but try to look impressed. The school is still good despite this.
Don't look scared/dissappointed in what you see......even if you are....pretend you aren't🙂
But you might already know this.

Hi Mellow,
My RWJ UMDNJ letter was postmarked 2/5. I don't know if they send out rejections in batches 😕 (it seems that most schools do). My interview date at Downstate is 3/12, so I would think that will be interviewing for awhile more since my date was not as far in advance as say April. Stay positive and don't give up; remember it is not over till its over!

I know two people that go there and both are very happy with it....good tuition for in-staters and good education and preparation. Good luck!

I live in the Bronx and while I don't live in a "ghetto", I am used to rough neighborhoods. I worked in the South Bronx for many years, so I am probably not going to be scared/dissappointed in the location of Downstate (bad neighborhoods don't scare me unless I am by myself in the middle of the night <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> ). I will keep you posted and thanks for your prayers, I am praying for you too and sending you love <img border="0" alt="[Lovey]" title="" src="graemlins/lovey.gif" /> !

I had an interview at both Jersey schools which I thought was odd that an out of state school would invite me for an interview while SUNY schools are snobbing me right now. You live in the bronx and I live in Brooklyn....you got your letter yesterday so I expect mine to be in the mail by today. <img border="0" alt="[Wowie]" title="" src="graemlins/wowie.gif" />

I don't want to go home. 🙁
This process is giving me hypertension. 😡
