Hey everyone just wanted to let u all know that i got an email today for an interview call at USC! I know i know it's only an interview adn not an acceptance but i wasnt' even expecting that and i'm so happy whoooohooo.....Now someone tell me what to prepare for!!!!!

Congrats on the interview call and all the best for the same. I have applied to USC too. Have not heard from them so did you recieve the invitation for the interview in an email or snail mail from them. What are the dates for the interview. ?

Hey whats up sanju,
i got an email this morning from them and it said that i was chosen for the interview on november 6, 7,8th...they said that an invitation would also arrive thru snail mail but since i am overseas they wanted to inform me as soon as possible so that I would have ample time to prepare for the trip...man it's gonna be hectic trying to get over mad jet lag and give the practical exam..i have done any prosthetic work in like two years!!! i gotta go back to college and see if i can brush up on my skills i'm pretty tense...dont worry i'm sure u'l get a call what were ure stats?

Hey Khurram, perhaps we should start an "85 and below Club", for those of us with less than 85 in the boards and still managed to get in somwhere! or at least get interviewed!!

I know plenty of people with less than 85 that got in somewhere or another. But I met them AFTER getting in. I just think SDN stats are inflated. There aren't that many "average" people like you and me that DARE to post their stats. Although your Toefl and GPA are very very good. 😉

Congratulations Khurram! Good to hear that you got an interview call. I remember you were upset about yuor NDBE score.
That gives me some hope 🙂 My board score is 83, GPA-2,92, TOEFL -- 277 and I have 12 years work experience in my country. I hope to get at least an interview call. Applied to UOP, UPenn and NYU.

Hellyeah! 85 and belower's rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahah dont wanna blow my own horn before the interview but at least i got a shot now! but someone has got to tell me what i should practice at college i only have about three weeks before i'll have to leave for the states do you think that's enough time what should i work on in the clinics ? class2 ,3, inlays, onlays, and crown prep? is that sufficient enough? PLease let me know! i'm goin to college to start workign on these things on monday! i'm not worried about the PBL part as i have great communication skills heheheh

I applied to USC early Sept, I got a letter from them saying my application was complete in about a week's time. Got the interview call last evening by mail. No I did not submit a financial statement as I am a permanent resident. Good luck.
Repeating my earlier question again, can any1 please tell me if we will have a written test also. In the brochure they sent me it does not mention anything about the written, just the practical. Got an instrument list also. Any1 having any idea where I can rent these instruments?
Those of you coming from outside the US for the interviews, I would suggest you get the instruments from your home country(provided they are cheaper) than buying them here. Heard they cost quite a packet here.Please let me know asap. Thanx in advance.

I too got an interview call from usc from 4th to 6th nov and complete schedule for the days.Can any body help us about there dexterity test..last year they asked 3/4 MOD on the molar.I am not getting any idea how can make grooves and the boxes on one tooth. This year r they going to conduct PBL or personal interview?

I got a USC interview too, I have several questions i'd appreciate it if someone can help me out. In the list of items we need to buy, they ask for a ruler, does anyone know what we would use it for, also, I'm not sure what to wear for the interview, it's 3 days and I was thinking of wearing a suite(tuxedo) the 1st day but what about the other 2 days???
I went to USC today and talked to John Marfield(the guy responsible for the ASPID), he said that they're inviting 140 people for the interview out of the 350 applicants they had.

Any help or input to my questions would be highly appreciated.
