Hey guys~!
I finally got in 😀
I can't believe I am writing a thread about me getting in.😉
I have been waiting for this moment for ....let's see...4 years? yeah..I think that's how long I have been on SDN... posting over 2500 times, LOL😛

That's awesome! I have seen numerous posts from you concerning VCU and Midwestern. I am thrilled for you and I know it has been a long time coming. You can relax now, you have made it!!!!!! 👍
 
Congratulations! I can only imagine how you must be feeling - enjoy it because you deserve it. Hope the transition into dental school goes well!

I've been in the application cycle for 5 years improving every aspect of my application each year. I think next cycle should be my lucky one considering I should be finished my Masters by then...

My girlfriend is also finishing her Masters this August. Since I know how hard she is studying, I hope you guys get good news eventually.

I spent last 2 months studying for DAT again. I just made a really nice note of Genchem and was studying for Ochem until this morning. Bye bye electrophile ~ :laugh:

Change your pre-dents stats! It's one of the most gratifying things ever, to put that you were accepted somewhere. Also, Congrats!

Congratulations! It's awesome when all of the hard work you put in over the past few years finally bears fruit. I recommend continuing dental shadowing/volunteering. You will learn quite a bit that can be applied to making your transition to school a bit easier.
 
I guess we won't be seeing you in the DAT Discussion forum anymore. How about a DAT breakdown though?

Also, how long did you study?
 
I was wondering if I'd ever get to see you post that....guess the waitlist moves! Congrats to you...I love seeing exciting topics like this...totally makes my day too!

See you next year and yea...sell those prep books so you never have to see them again!
 
Congrats man! Seeing you hit the drawing board and studying for DATs again was both inspiring and depressing. 😀 Glad to hear that you don't have to go that route!

I can break DAT even more. I was studying to retake DAT and my goal was to get 23+ this time and I really had a feeling that I can get 23+ if I retake.
I have been on SDN for about 4 years, studying almost every summer since freshman but 3 months of studying in freshman year was not even worth 1 hr of studying when I was a senior.

Yeah, and I just wish I can bring my girlfriend there...she is as important as dental school to me.

I cleaned out my DAT study drawer this weekend. I took out the garbage this morning and actually thought about how awesome it is that my DAT study notes were in there, and I would NEVER see them again!

I hope to get accepted at Midwestern when I apply this summer. I see by tracking your progress (i'm on sdn alot) that they take kind to people who really want to be a dentist. Now thats my kind of school. Congratulations and enjoy the best day of your life 🙂

I don't know of a dental school that admits people that aren't that interested in dentistry, but still, your post made me smile.🙂

some people just want it more than others, and some are just in it for the money/lifestyle and what not so i'm glad to see someone who just wants to be a dentist because its their dreamjob to get in!

Just fyi... I think Midwestern looks highly on high RC scores... so nice job on that. Also, your stellar GPA won't hurt!

Joon you did it! I told you not to give hope! You deserve it... Just today I was wondering what was up with you... I dont see you on msn anymore! 😛

Hopefully everything with your gf works out too... Long distance is really hard but is doable! I've done it for 4 yrs now and now that Im moving to Boston we'll be closer than when I was in FL but we'll stay 'together' ...

could you tell me what your msn messenger id was? It's possible that I blocked or deleted you (some inappropriate site made thousands of msn id and added me like spam so i kinda blocked everyone except my gf).
