I have a really hard time applying physics knowledge.😡 I know this skill comes from practicing and practicing physics problems. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good book with a lot of problems that will help with applying knowledge? THanks in advance!

TPR science workbook is pretty good. I have also heard that the TBR series is good as well. I will try them if my first attempt does not work out.

BTW, I hate Physics too!!!

DrShoshana vbmenu_register("postmenu_5340670", true); , the TPR physics is EXTREMLY good.....honestly, physics shld be the easiest section for the MCAT....the key to physics is remember and understand the concepts and know your formulas.....that is the first step and the second step is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE...i know thats a cliche but it is true....

For ever topic your read,,,right down all the concepts and formulas...try to understand the concepts.( for example, when the direction of velocity and acceleration are opposite, the object deccelerates....**** like that..)..if you can't understand it...get someone to explain it to you...if you cant get anyone...hellll..just memorize the damn thing..... ..hope this helps

I had the same problem. I was using EK Physics, but definitely needed to take a look at Nova Physics and do a few chapters in that book to cover my weaknesses and work problems. You can buy it on Amazon. Good luck.

I highly recommend Nova. I'm a non-trad and it had been ~7 years since I'd taken Phys I (mechanics stuff) and 4 years since Phys II (electromag), and I was having serious trouble with the material until I got the Nova book. Great explanations of material and TONS of practice problems.

I don't think "covering" your weaknesses is a good idea. Weaknesses should be eliminated, not covered up.

Thanks for all the great advice! I just ordered Nova Physics off amazon! I hope it helps!
