I know that this question, based on its topic belongs in the OAT forum, but since a lot of people who are new to the OAT frequent that part of the forum, I figured I might as well post here. I know there was a recalibration of the test a year ago in order to make the median 300 again. I am still not quite clear on how this is possible if the test was not made harder as far as the material covered is concerned. Does this mean that we can only miss so many questions before our score is affected? Let's say you can miss 5 biology questions and still earn a 400 in that particular section. Is there a possibility of missing less and risking the chance of earning a lower score on this particular section? Thanks a lot to whomever takes the time out to answer this for me, I really appreciate it!
