I have several repeats, do I still have a shot, if at all?

Hello,

I am a senior in undergrad and will be graduating this year with BA in Sociology. Recently, I stumbled into a job as assistant at a dental clinic, and I enjoy it so much that I want to follow dentistry upon graduation.

The question I have is that, at CC (i transferred with 3.2 GPA) I had several W's and F's and I also have 1 F in a non-science course since I transferred. I have repeated all the courses and that's how I will most likely graduating with 3.4-3.5 GPA. (So I have about 10 combined W/F in my transcript)

I am aware that I have to ace every single course from this point and on, but if it is impossible to get into with my W/F, it will be stupid to even start committing myself to studying, you know.

I have searched on the forum for repeated courses, infos on getting into dentistry, etc, but I don't think anyone has this many W/F.. so I was curious to know..

No excuse for bad grades, I was young and stupid. 🙁

Thanks for your time. Appreciate it.

Isn't there a pre-dent forum around here? But I think if you show a consistent upward trend and can explain the poor grades, you still have a shot. I had one repeat after a no-pass grade in a pass/fail course, and it didn't even come up at my med interviews. I don't really know anything about the process for dentistry applicants, though!
