thus far, i have 12 interviews not including the 2 i've already been to and they're all at highly ranked schools (of course i have superior stats so this doesn't surprise me)

is it okay to start declining interviews at this point? it's probably pretty unlikely that i wont get an acceptance out of the 14 invites i have already, right? but then again, i dont want to shoot myself in the foot this early in the game.

should i play it safe until i get that first acceptance? what do you guys think?

i became a sdn member so i could get some good advice on my situation

It makes you wonder who the hell has the time to sit around trolling a premed forum repeatedly after being banned over and over. I picture some 800lb, 40 year old shut-in who is completely socially inept and hasn't spoken to another person in years. (Like the the guy from the first death in Seven)

Nah, it's probably some pre-med wannabe college freshman with no friends or social life, and a very juvenile sense of humor.

Is it just me or has SDN been bombarded by new members who's packing a lot of man meat? We had big schlong the other day and now big dong. And I think there was withered schlong. Maybe SDN is hotlinked on a porno website or something.

Hon, you *are* Hopeful_md. Back when you went by the name Hopeful_md, I thought you were sincere about posting on SDN for the purpose of seeking advice on your applications, and I wished you well back then. Now that you're making all these posts under alternate usernames, I'm not so sure what your reasons for posting on SDN are. I sometimes feel bad when I see SDNers bashing other SDNers, but I also think that if you made fewer posts like this, people wouldn't insult you so much. Basically, people won't respect you unless you respect yourself.

i was sincere, until stupid little girl xpathos.....reports me for trolling when i clearly waasnt. he was so jealous that the others took my advice that she reported me for trolling. since he had more posts i automatically got banned!

Wow, Chyme got banned. He was soo close to the 1K mark...I'm assuming Chyme has been the recent schlong/dong trolls?
 
Chyme got banned? Wow, might have had something to do with his earlier posts supporting hopeful_MD and the other trolls.

i thought this post was real. about to yell at op "you are dumb, some of us dont even have one interview yet". but it was a fake, jokes on me ha ha. well at least you got banned!
 
It's not so much the number of trolls that have appeared recently but the fact that they can't even last 10 min before getting banned. A sad day in trolling history indeed.

He's doing ok now as extremeHUNTER - hasn't done anything I can report him for yet but I have no doubt he will by tonight.

well i think the best thing in a situation like this would be to decline the 12 interviews you have. Since you already had 2 early ones you are for sure getting into one of those schools. So just forget about the other 12, its a waste of your valuable trolling time.
 
i dunno if the OP is a troll. but i was wondering if people ever declined an interview w/o having an acceptance in hand, and why?
