I can't believe it! Anyone who has followed my little story knows that back in August I really didn't think I would be getting in anywhere. Hell, in August I was about to start classes at Temple School of Podiatric Medicine. Nothing against the pod students out there but I am sooooooooooo glad that I can now say that I am going to be attending Temple School of Medicine. I still can't believe it! WOOHOO

yeah, that is pretty cool. temple seems like a really good school and philly is great. best of luck.

MCAT: (4/01) 10V,9B,8P O

Undergrad GPA: 2.21 (with a whole lotta Fs, Ds and 2 Ws) University of Pennsylvania, 1994 BA in History.

Postbac GPA: 3.93 (2 A-) Temple University, 2000

Spent the last 8 years in insurance from sales to the back office financial accounting I will be doing for the next month (Summer program, here I come).

No relevant ECs to speak of but did some shadowing during the summer and early fall (6 DOs in a variety of specialties).

Lavndrrose -- I really thought that my Post bac grades and MCAT score would not be enough to recover from a terrible undergraduate career. Temple Pod seemed like an option and I was accepted. Just before the time came to start classes, I knew I would hate being a Podiatrist and I deferred and later withdrew.

I really do love you guys and thank you for all your congrats. I am really excited and I knew that you guys would understand.

Oh and Papi, I know Tori is happy because one day I will be able to afford to have her as my trophy wife! J/K
 
Congrats ussdfiant! I'm going to Temple in the fall (I loved that school). Guess I'll see you down there....

Congrats!! I knew that the letter you were going to receive was going to be a positive one, plus the secretary pretty much told you so. Hopefully, us out of state CCL'ers will hear soon. You must be happy now that you won't have to move to Jersey. Congrats once again and good luck!

Your story is an inspiration! I'm 30 and my ugrad grades sucked ass too. Good to know that the current stuff does count!
