At one of the east coast schools they told me who I’m interviewing with.how can I use this to benefit me.

I would look them up and see what their specialty is, see if they do any research and read up in that area, try to find common grounds etc...

If that person is sick that day, or just away from the school, and you get someone else, then what? Read something about how to interview well rather than try a gimmick. Not everyone likes to be Googled anyway. When my applicants ask me about my other career, I redirect them to the subject at hand, them. No one likes a nosey body.
