Congrats to the matched!

Especially since it looks like this year was one of the more/most competitive for anesthesiology.
In fact it looks like it's trending that way across the board. Was I right in reading that there
was only 1 spot unmatched for categorical surgery?!?!

Yikes!

Hope to catch up with my future colleagues here after Thursday's celebration (which would prolly be friday afternoon )

A friend who is currently a resident told me he never received his email from NRMP but the website said he had a
spot. He did and of course is in training now. Maybe that gives some of you still waiting for the email a little less stress.

If NRMP says you matched, I'd feel pretty confident.

Yeah, was really hoping that would slip in there with today's email but no dice.
Guess we'll have to sweat out the "where's" until Thursday.
Still, nice to know there's a "where" waiting for us.

I match guys. I got the "you match but you need a PGY-1" email. this is just because i didnt interview or rank prelim spots (any suggestions?) anyhoo..i'm the club!

i called nrmp today. they told me unequivocally that the email is only supplemental to whats on the site, which is what we go by. im still a little worried that i dont have one yet, but oh well, it says i matched.

I am talking to the scramblers as well. I scrambled! I know what awaits you in the next 2-3 days and it ain't fun but it will be productive and you will have a spot somewhere. 😱 It will all work out fine.
