I know, I know...not the most realistic medical drama out there....but you have to admit it's kind of addictive. Does anyone know when season 4 starts?

yeah, I also love this show. Don't know when season four starts though, I need to look into that. I don't think it starts this summer though, we will have to wait until fall at least.

I think it starts in mid-september, season 3 should be on dvd in august! 😳

I watched a couple episodes of that during the first season. It was pretty interesting but I really started to resent the show when I was interviewing. Some of the faculty at interviews seemed to have chips on their shoulders about it and were suspicious of us as applicants. There is a theory that one of the reasons the match is so ridiculously competative now is because some of the applicants watch those shows and want to drive Ferrari's etc. The same thing happened to ER residencies when the show ER was popular. Not that the guys on ER were driving Ferrari's, but the show overdramatized what it was really like to be an ER physician - ie the ER attending cracking a chest and repairing the hole in the pulmonary artery right there in the trauma bay. It would have been a lot nicer residency in general surgery if the ER attendings actually could do something useful instead of stat consulting general surgery at 3 in the morning for a 1 cm lac to the left forearm.

great show, for entertainment purposes only

<--- not motivated by TV to be a doctor 😉
