So i want to prepare to take the dat, and im starting school next semester.
And i want to know from the beginning if im interested in biology or not, so i was planning on taking:

Year1: bio
Year2: chem
Year3: Org Chem

Then i'm worried if i do that, that ill be taking my dat after my 3rd year, in which i've forgotten everything from bio...

I'm wondering if you guys can help me out, what order did you guys take these 3 classes for the dat? Or what do you recommend?

Do you guys do

y1: chem
y2: bio, org chem

or
y1:che
y2:bio
y3: org chem

The problem with this is that you will have forgot everything from chem to use for org chem right? And ontop of that you forgot it for the dat

So i want to prepare to take the dat,
Year1: bio
Year2: chem
Year3: Org Chem

Do you guys do

y1: chem
y2: bio, org chem

or
y1:che
y2:bio

What most people do is take gen bio AND gen chem their first year and ochem their second year. I took my DAT after my second year and still had retained enough information to make studying less awful. That's just a thought. 🙂

I did (started in the spring so it's weird):

Semester 1 Gen Chem 1, Bio 1 and the labs among other courses
Summer 1 Gen Chem 2 and the labs among other courses
Fall 1 O-Chem 1, Bio 2, Physics 1 and the labs
Spring 2 O-Chem 2, Physics 2 and the labs and other courses.

This way by the 2nd half of your second year you are all ready to do upper level bios and other courses you may need.

This is a little bit of a tough schedule though, so be warned.
